Luciano Floridi - Orbits Dialogues with Intelligence
The philosophical reference point for ORBITS
Among the most authoritative contemporary philosophers of artificial intelligence and digital ethics, Luciano Floridi is the cultural and philosophical reference point for ORBITS.
A professor at Yale University and founder of the Digital Ethics Center, he leads the international debate on AI, technological innovation and digital transformation, collaborating with companies, governments and institutions around the world.
He has taught at the University of Oxford, contributing to the creation of the Oxford Internet Institute, and teaches at the University of Bologna. Author of hundreds of publications translated globally, he is considered one of the leading scholars of the impact of artificial intelligence on contemporary society.
His vision inspires the HABITAT theme and ORBITS' reflection on the future of work, relationships, culture and society in the post-AI era.
Since 2025 he has been President of Fondazione Leonardo and promotes an approach to technology capable of combining innovation, responsibility and human rights.
“AI is not just a tool. It is a transformation of our human habitat, of the way we perceive time, organize relationships and assign value to action.”
— Luciano Floridi

The future is built together

Orbits - Young people and the future
ORBITS was created to foster dialogue between new generations, companies and institutions in the age of artificial intelligence.
Today, young people live with technologies that companies and institutions are still learning to truly understand. That is why ORBITS brings students, universities, CEOs and professionals into the same space for exchange, around the major questions about the future of work, technology and the post-AI society.
The goal is to build a generation capable of understanding and guiding digital transformation, not merely undergoing it.
Young people are not Orbits' audience. They are the reason Orbits exists.
Orbits Academy - Strategic training on AI
Strategic training for those who want to govern the AI transformation
The first strategic program connecting companies, internationally recognized experts and educational institutions, guided by philosopher Luciano Floridi's vision.
Taking part in the Masterclasses means positioning your company as a cultural leader in the digital market, capable of attracting, developing and retaining the best talent. Not just training, but the transformation of knowledge into skills,
skills into concrete results and concrete results into sustainable growth and competitiveness. A series of masterclasses led by our experts
to explore the challenges company management is facing.

Habitat – Designing the post-AI society

After exploring the relationship between humans and artificial intelligence and the value of Semantic Capital, Orbits completed its first trilogy of editions with HABITAT – Designing the post-AI society, dedicated to understanding and interpreting the impact of artificial intelligence on society. Together with Dialogues with Intelligence (2024) and Semantic Capital (2025), the project followed a path of inquiry that reached the natural conclusion of its first cycle with HABITAT, consolidating its role as a forum for dialogue among businesses, institutions, academia and new generations.

Once again led by Professor Luciano Floridi, the 2026 edition focused on the concept of habitat: a physical, social and working environment increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence. An exploration of how citizens, businesses and institutions can help design the post-AI society.

Across the Teatro Grande in the Archaeological Park of Pompeii and the National Railway Museum of Pietrarsa, the two days turned this reflection into a concrete dialogue through Professor Luciano Floridi's Show-How, conversations among representatives from institutions, academia and business, and a series of sessions devoted to culture, work, health, sustainability and innovation, confirming Orbits' mission to turn thought into vision and vision into action.

Semantic Capital

After the zero edition, Orbits - Dialogues With Intelligence arrived at Palazzo del Ghiaccio, establishing itself as a space for exchange between companies, institutions and young people around a shared vision: «doing better together».
Once again guided by Professor Luciano Floridi, the 2025 edition explored the effects of the digital revolution and artificial intelligence on the economy, society and everyday life.
At the center of the reflection was Semantic Capital: what gives meaning to the world and makes it possible to interpret and design it. The two days brought together academic, creative and business voices, with the participation of Maestro Giovanni Allevi and the involvement of more than one thousand students thanks to the Ministry of Education and Merit and the Scuola Futura project.

Who is behind Orbits

Luciano Floridi is the intellectual guide of Orbits. A philosopher of information, father of digital ethics, Founding Director of Yale's Digital Ethics Center and President of Fondazione Leonardo. He defines the questions that each edition brings to the stage.
Orbits - Who is behind it
Manuela Ronchi is the operational founder of Orbits. She transformed a philosophical vision into a concrete, recognized and sought-after project, building in three years an ecosystem of relationships, content and events with no precedent in Italy. Her ability to connect different worlds - philosophy, business, media, institutions - is the invisible engine behind everything Orbits produces.
